TextZone.zip (10.3 KB)

TextZone '99 is the C++ programming masterpiece of ScottieGee. Six games are included: Text Wars, Textanoid, Text Pac, Snakes II, Memory, and Textsweeper. All games are either in C40, C80, or C4350 text mode.

FrenchAssistant.zip (1.76 MB)

With the click of a button, the French Assistant program will translate an entire document in French or English into the other language.  A dictionary with conjugations is included among several other features.

Urinal.exe (312 KB)

For men only.  Seriously, it's a guy thing that the ladies just won't understand.  If you're a guy and don't pass this test, then you've got problems for sure.  You'll need to get the Shockwave Media plug-in to run this program if you don't have it already.

Snowcraft.exe (1.97 MB)

The best little Christmas game ever.  Using your snowball firepower, lead your team of three bundled up kids against a large gang of bullies and knock 'em out.  This game is easy to catch on to, but in the end is actually very difficult to beat.

TobogganRun.exe (2.95 MB)

Another great wintertime favorite.  Really easy to play and very entertaining, especially with the background commentary.  Note that clearing the jump isn't always as fun as missing it - burnt people flying all over the place can be quite amusing.

ZZT.zip (12.9 KB)

ZZT is a MS-DOS game created in 1991 by Tim Sweeney. It uses 16 color character graphics and is basically a simple object-oriented adventure game that can be a lot of fun. ZZT also has its own built-in editor and programming language.

Esophageal Muscle Behavior.zip (1.27 MB)

"Subtle Muscle Behavior in the Esophagus during Swallowing" is the greatest academic paper produced by ScottieGee to date.  This undergraduate honors thesis analyzes the muscle contractions used to swallow on a microscopic scale.

Genetic Algorithms.zip (185 KB)

"The Usefulness of Genetic Algorithms in Optimizing Ill-behaved Objective Functions" illustrates how genetic algorithms can efficiently optimize noisy and discontinuous functions and their benefits over more traditional optimization methods.

Homework.zip (82.5 KB)

"Warning Parents" addresses the growing loads of homework that children are being assigned today.  Written by ScottieGee during his freshman year of college, it tries to answer the question, 'How much homework is too much for your child?'

Lightning.zip (530 KB)

"The Energy and Power of Lightning" highlights the basic principles of physics underlying this awesome natural phenomenon.  This short research paper was written for one of ScottieGee's freshman physics courses.

Magnetic Recording.zip (171 KB)

"The Magnetism behind Tape Recording" discusses how digital data is recorded, in general and in the specific case of cassette tapes.  This research paper was also written for one of ScottieGee's freshman physics courses.

Non-Nuclear Submarines (223 KB)

"Evaluation of Engine Systems in Non-Nuclear Submarines for the United States Navy" is a comparison of non-nuclear submarines using Diesel-Electric propulsion systems and those with Stirling Engine systems.

Pyramids.zip (327 KB)

"The Egyptian Pyramids: Theories of Construction" discusses possibilities of how the Egyptians may have built their massive monuments.  Their achievements are quite impressive considering they lacked all the benefits of modern technology.

Shock Tube.zip (224 KB)

"Supersonic Flow: Shock Tube" was an experiment performed by ScottieGee and lab partners in the fluids laboratory of Penn State during his junior year of college.  Creating shock waves with Mach numbers over 1.5 can be quite a 'blast'.

Stirling Engines.zip (511 KB)

"Stirling Engines" was originally a research paper on the internal combustion alternative produced by ScottieGee and partners during his sophomore year.  The literature review found here was composed later as a reorganization of the original.

Vascular Grafts.zip (211 KB)

"Engineering Characteristics and Effects of Small-Intestine Submucosa (SIS), Small-Diameter Vascular Grafts" is a bioengineering literature review written during ScottieGee's senior year of college that discusses the production of artificial blood vessels using tissue found in the small intestine.
